I wanted to point out that among the applications available through Shortcuts is the Camera. Now, there's just a few actions here, you can take a photo or you can take video, but those are very useful actions. You can actually automate taking pictures and video.

There's a few settings with each. For instance, you can choose the number of photos. I'll put it up to three, and you can choose which camera it will go through, back or front.

With the video action, you can only control the front or back camera. But with each one, you also have Show More options to get you more ability to control the quality and how you trigger the video. I'm going to go ahead and just keep this camera open and then let's add one more step for it, just for giggles.

We’ll turn it into a JIF or GIF depending on what religion you are. Make GIF out of the photos. Okay, so that's a very simple action. It's going to take three pictures and turn them into a GIF. Now, there's also additional settings for that. If you want I'm going to leave it just on its default. Now I'm busy making screencast for you guys I don't even know if my hair is combed, but what the heck! Let's do it. There I am! All right, I know my eyes were all over the place. But hey, I just made a GIF.

The ability to take pictures is something you want to keep in the back of your mind as you're making your shortcuts. You never know when it's going to come in handy.
